Kuching Festival Delights!

Went to Kch Festival -- the annual event in Kuching not to be missed!!!

This is a meal at HK cafe, Plaza Singapura :) Plaza Singapura is on Orchard Rd, next to Somerset MRT. Pictures taken with Nokia N82. YES, using mobile phone to take is totally more convenient especially when it comes with autofocus and a flash :)

A walk with the baby

I was testing the Nikon D90 + tamron 18 - 270 VR lens when I saw this

Details: 270mm f/6.3, 1/100th sec, ISO 1600

A grandpa walking the baby, while the baby's attracted by something by his side! Yeah, I was using ISO1600 in broad daylight, as I was testing how clean the image will be at higher ISO levels. And because of the VR (vibration reduction), I was able to perfectly take the picture at a lower shutter speed of 1/100th second. Available light was limited because it was cloudy that day. Picture was taken at Marine Parade, Singapore.

We've got durians everywhere! i tried a few and they are super nice! Whole little Kancil car packed with durians!

Wok On In - always seem to be our favourite place to go for lunch after church, so much so that even the waitress there knows us, and by face. Favourite dish must be the hokkien mee!

However, sometimes we prefer a change of atmosphere and go try out other places like Keongs. The dried beef brisket noodles is not bad. Well worth the $7.

In Kuching.: World FAMOUS satay Kajang!! yummmmmy........!

In Kuching:: Nasi Goreng Pattaya :: interesting dish....fried rice is wrapped by a whole layer of egg. :P

In Kuching:: Teh Si Peng in Samariang! -- nice. Learnt to drink this.
